So easily saved $150 to $200 during that time, plus kept paper out of the landfill/compost. Maybe saved one tree?
Product Review: The Awesome Able KONE
I’ve had a Able KONE Chemex metal filter for my six-cup Chemex coffeemaker since 2016 and I think it’s great. As someone who is passionate about coffee, I was looking for a more sustainable alternative to paper filters, and this metal filter has exceeded my expectations.
First of all, the build quality is top-notch. The stainless steel is of high quality and feels very durable. The design of the filter is also impressive, with its unique cone shape that allows for maximum extraction of the coffee’s flavor and aroma. I think it works just as well as Chemex unbleached filters, which I keep around for Gesha and other high end roasts. Maybe I’ll do a side-by-side taste test one of these days though.

Cleaning it is also very easy, it can be rinsed with water and dried quickly. I stick it in the dishwasher from time to time.
